Age 21 to 23
Your options for renting a car are quite limited in this age group. Found a rental company willing to rent to you? Be prepared for a young driver surcharge of at least $5.00 per day.
Age 23 to 75
Once you turn 23, you can rent a car from any rental company, with access to all available models. Some rental companies apply a surcharge of approximately $5.00 per day starting at the age of 70.
Is the main driver 23 or older, but an additional driver is younger? Not all rental companies will allow younger drivers to be added to the rental contract.
Age 75 and Older
Some rental companies have a maximum age limit. Others charge an extra fee for drivers over 70, usually around $5.00 per day. If you are over 75, most rental companies in Aruba will not rent you a car.
What documents do you need to rent a car in Aruba?
In general, you must have held a valid driver’s license for at least one year to rent a car in Aruba. Additionally, you’ll need a passport and a credit card in the name of the main driver.
